How it's going

I'm an Engineering Manager passionate about building great teams and scaling mobile products. I work closely with engineers and product teams to expand our iOS portfolio and turn ideas into products that reach millions of users. Eightpoint is an environment where creativity and entrepreneurship thrive. It is a place where ambitious projects can quickly become reality. Recently, I’ve also been getting more hands-on with Android engineering, particularly working on launchers. I enjoy constantly learning new technologies and it’s incredibly rewarding to see our products used and appreciated by so many customers around the world.

Jade (Yuzhuo) Zhang

Junior UX/UI designer, focusing on iOS design during my internship

How it's going

I joined the team as an intern and after an incredible learning experience, I was thrilled to start full-time in January 2023. I initially focused on UX/UI design for iOS, working on exciting projects like NOAA Radar and Calorie Tracker. Fast forward, at age 27, I now lead the design projects and updates for over 20 apps across both iOS and Android platforms. What makes Eightpoint even more special for me is the incredible mentorship I've received. My design manager, Matt, has been a huge inspiration-his passion and insights into design have helped me grow both personally and professionally. He's shown me how rewarding it is to work with a team that's not only talented but truly cares about what they do. Eightpoint has fueled my passion for design, and I'm excited to continue growing here, contributing to products that I love, and creating meaningful user experiences.

Matt Martinez

How it started

After graduating from Florida Gulf Coast University, I joined Eightpoint in 2016 as a Web Developer. It was my first role out of college and the start of what has become a nearly ten year journey with the company.

How it's going

Today I am the Director of Product leading the Desktop division, where I work closely with engineering, analytics, and the user acquisition team to guide the strategy and development of our desktop products. My role centers on defining product direction, aligning teams around clear priorities, and ensuring our products continue to evolve as our users and markets change. I also oversee the division’s financial success and carry full P&L responsibility for the desktop business. A big part of my role is connecting different parts of the organization. I collaborate with engineering, data, marketing, and partnerships to ensure our roadmap reflects both technical innovation and meaningful user insights. Working closely with these teams allows us to identify new opportunities, test ideas, and turn them into products and features that deliver real value. Looking back, my journey from Web Developer to Director of Product reflects the opportunities for growth that exist at Eightpoint. Over the years I have taken on new responsibilities, broadened my perspective across the business, and had the chance to help shape the direction of our products. I am grateful to have grown alongside the company and excited to continue building with the team as we push our products forward.

I joined Eightpoint five years ago as a Media Buyer on the Desktop team. At the time, I was eager to learn and excited to build a foundation in performance marketing

How it's going

Today, I’m the Director of User Acquisition, leading the growth strategy for Eightpoint’s mobile app portfolio across both Android and iOS. I oversee the full investment budget, manage a talented team of media buyers, and guide acquisition strategies across key partners like Google, Meta, AppLovin, and DSPs. My role combines strategy, leadership, and hands-on collaboration. I work closely with our team to design testing frameworks, identify scalable opportunities, and refine optimization tactics. A big focus of my work is driving creative innovation, from generating ideas to reviewing assets to scaling the concepts that win. Data plays a big role in everything we do, and I partner closely with our Product and Data teams to align on roadmaps, build measurement systems, and ensure our decision-making is grounded in strong insights. Looking back, my journey from Desktop Media Buyer to Director of UA reflects Eightpoint’s culture of growth, trust, and opportunity. I’ve been able to grow alongside the company, take on increasing responsibility, and help shape the future of our mobile growth strategies. I’m excited to continue mentoring my team, exploring new acquisition levers, and pushing our mobile portfolio to the next level.
